The academy award winning actor Nicolas Cage has threatened the worl about quitting the movie industry because he is tired of it. He admits that he has lost passion for acting and blame the career for his antisocial life.
“Some movie stars look like they are having a ball, but I’m tired of it. It has made me reclusive. That is an increasingly gnawing feeling in my body. When I first started I loved it. One of my frustrations is I have no control. I haven’t worked in a while, and it will be eight months before I start my next picture. I know for the first time which direction I’m going in and what changes I want to make.”
Nicolas also fears that his fans are tirid of watching him on-screen;
“For some reason, I piss off the audience. People who like one type of film don’t like to see me in another. Things I did and said early on still haunt me. I started acting at 17, but I’m 44 now and have grown up. I wonder if I am still interesting to watch if I didn’t drink or raise hell, but it’s obnoxious to keep drinking.”
Those words shouldn’t be taken too serious since he is currently producing five movies:
- Electric God (2009) announced
- The Dance (2008) announced ‘Billy ‘The Kid’ Roth’
- Amarillo Slim (2008) pre-production
- Knowing (2008) pre-production
- G-Force (2009) filming-voice
If he would leave, it would be a huge loss but he has left us lot’s of great movies such as The rock, Face off, National Treasure and Con Air.

I found this advertise from Apple. The short-film is featuring these people (from beginning to end):
Albert Einstein, Bob Dylan, Martin Luther King, Jr., Richard Branson, John Lennon, R. Buckminster Fuller, Thomas Edison, Muhammad Ali, Ted Turner, Maria Callas, Mahatma Gandhi, Amelia Earhart, Alfred Hitchcock, Martha Graham, Jim Henson (with Kermit the Frog), Frank Lloyd Wright and Pablo Picasso.
It’s honestly the best advertising movie I’ve seen in many years.
Check it out!
Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,
-are the ones who do.
Think Different

According to the salesman the site has over 2 million unique visitors per month and almost 4 million Pageviews per month.
The site do also have a monthly revenue over $20 000, which would make it an estimated CPM of $5.5 (based on 3.6 million pageviews/month). This means that for each 1000 pageviews that they generate they will have an income of $5.5.
With 140,000 members and 250 new members per day + almost 110 000 threads along with 534 000 post, this is one of the largest sales at sitepoint.

The largest newspaper in sweden, aftonbladet.se, got their servers totally hacked during the last weeks. The group called “Vuxna arga hackare” which in english would be “Adult angry hackers”. The reason of why Vuxna arga hackare (VAH) hacked aftonbladet is because of a couple of days earlier they hacked one of the biggest TV channels in Sweden, Tv3, and got no attention at all from media. They totally ignored the hacking and because of that, they attacked aftonbladet.
VAH hacked afonbladet and gained control of their whole mail-server and all passwords and usernames to the system, which they then released to public at the swedish forum flashback.se. Ironicly, the IT-security crews had passwords such as “anakin” and a dozen of the publishers had their firstname as password.
They did also hack this same newspaper two years ago and was called “script-kiddies” by the aftonbladet security team which then, of course, had this eaten up this time when they decided to publish the story.
What can we learn from this? Well.. It’s not possible to be totally safe on the net and even though you are dedicated to keep the security up, you are not guaranteed to complete the job.
ps. VAH got inspired of another big swedish hacking-group called AUH(Arga unga hackare), which means Angry youth hackers. I love their names!

Vivendi will pay 1,7 million dollars and will then join Activision to create a game-industry that can compete with Electronic Arts. Vivendi will because of this own 68% of the new company created.
Vivendis most known studio is the Blizzard studio which have created (among with some other smaller games) Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo. The latest release is the MMORPG World of warcraft which was a great success.
Activision has focused on the console-market and created successes such as Tony Hawk skateboarding, Call of Duty and Guitar Hero. If you count together the two companies that are now called Activision Blizzard would have a total turnover of 3,7 billion dollars which makes them bigger than Electronic Arts with about 3 billion dollars.
Electronic Arts biggest market is the third-party development which means that companies produces games and Electronic Arts then releases them. Fifa, Need for Speed and the Sims are all results of this.
Most games of EA are created so a new version of them can be released every year. Examples of this are NHL, Fifa, Madden and Need for speed, which creates a steady income for the company. Activision uses a similar technique but is seemed as a more open company. A result of this was the risky product “Guitar Hero” which then became very successful.
