How to improve the design of your SpreadShirt store.
January 6th, 2007
Sometime back after I wrote about ‘Getting the first sale is the hardest‘, Jana Eggers - the CEO of Spreadshirt generously dropped a couple of comments in the post on some of the things I can work on for my SpreadShirt store.
Take to her advice - To give the store a custom look. Here’s what I did.
- Install a banner/logo for my store. - This will be my link to the homepage for my visitors.
- Pick and choose a nice color scheme for my store. - Hopefully I did not do too badly here.
- Look around for inspiration for my store design. - As I’m not the designer type of guy, I definitely need to look for inspiration. Here’s where I google ‘CSS Gallery’, there’s loads of beautifully done websites done by real designers.
After a couple of hours of fine-tunning here and there, my SpreadShirt store has a brand new look! What do you think it?
Alright, back to work on the rest of her comments. ![]()

I hope my advice helps.
Our marketing team is currently under a challenge to start and run their own shop… to learn and teach. We are getting ready to launch and you can follow our own efforts here: http://spreadshirtus.wordpress.com/tag/open-shop-project/
Enjoy!
